How to Fix Problematic Door Handles
30 April 2010
Try the Door Handles, and if required loosen the screws rather more. Many door handles have internal springs which, if not correctly lubricated, can grind against the inners of the handle backplate. to test if this is the root of your problem, do the following. Hold the backplate in one hand and operate the lever with your other hand to work out if it seems to be grinding, If it is, smear a little grease or petrol jelly onto the spring and move the handle a number of times till the grease / jelly has worked its way into the spring mechanism.
