Ready for the Wind
When we moved here 18 months ago we never fully appreciated how windy it can get. So when we chose our patio set, we hardly gave a thought to the umbrella that came with it. When we had a summer squall while the umbrella was still out it literally took off. You could just imagine Mary Poppins hanging on for dear life. So we’ve ordered a cast iron patio umbrella stand this time, ready for the windy days when we get them. We’ll also try to remember to take the umbrella down before going out. At least we know what to expect now.
