Go Green with a Costa Rica Eco Adventure

I really wanted to go green this year on my vacation and found a Costa Rica Eco Adventure that was a perfect fit. With access to a tropical reforestation station, I got to experience reforestation at its best. Several national parks and protected areas were available for touring and were exceptionally beautiful. The Magassay project the hotel supports is a 150 acre farm that practices ecologically balanced, sustainable cattle breading, reforestation and black pepper production. One of the goals of the Magassay project is tourist participation so I got to help plant tree’s right on the farm. Other ‘green’ packages available were the Butterfly Farm and Garden (absolutely stunning) and many bird watching tours. I loved the fact that the Magassay Lodge was solar powered to reduce its carbon footprint. A Costa Rica Eco Adventure is not only possible, it is fun!
